Hi, I'm Lydia – and I'm so glad you're here!

I was born and raised in Ethiopia, where I spent most of my childhood. At the age of 13, I was adopted by my amazing parents and moved to Maine—a place I will always treasure for its natural beauty and the warm memories it gave me.

In 2018, I met the love of my life, who lived in West Virginia. After a few years of a long-distance relationship, we got married in 2023—one of the happiest days of my life! We now live in Martinsburg, WV, a place I proudly call home.

My love for photography began at a young age, even though growing up in Ethiopia, I didn’t have access to cameras or much technology. After being adopted, I discovered that my grandfather had been a photographer in his younger years. He would often show me his photographs and share stories behind each one. The way his face lit up, as if he was traveling back in time through his images, inspired me deeply. That’s when I realized what photography can truly do—it captures more than just a picture; it preserves emotions, memories, and moments that matter most.
